Donald Gershman is a real estate developer, a business executive, and an attorney. He founded Development Resources to pursue the opportunistic development and redevelopment of office and commercial value-added and brownfield sites. He has personal involvement in the site selection, design, underwriting, and entitlements for all of the Company’s projects, as well as negotiations with its partners, investors, and lenders.

Previously, Mr. Gershman served for 20 years as a senior officer of Konover Properties Corporation (now the Simon Konover Company) and its affiliates, a large, vertically integrated, East Coast real estate development, construction and property management company, then with over 100 properties in 20 states. As Executive Vice President of KPC, Mr. Gershman negotiated and closed the acquisition of most of the company’s office portfolio, directly developed or managed the development of its most high-profile projects, and supervised the company’s commercial property management subsidiary. He served as company’s government relations officer, meeting with government officials, testifying at public hearings, and engaging lobbyists. Prior to this, as General Counsel, Mr. Gershman served as the organization’s chief legal officer and built and led its legal department.

Mr. Gershman began his career as an attorney with Schatz & Schatz, Ribicoff & Kotkin in Hartford, Connecticut, where he specialized in the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing and financing of commercial real estate, representing banks, retailers, municipalities, developers and other businesses.

Mr. Gershman is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association of Connecticut, the International Conference of Shopping Centers, and the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He has been a speaker at numerous REFA and CBA industry programs and at annual ICSC law conferences.

Mr. Gershman serves on the Boards of numerous civic and charitable organizations. In addition to real estate, he pursues entrepreneurial opportunities in a variety of business areas. Mr. Gershman resides in West Hartford, Connecticut.
